I AM Cross

Hand carved wooden cross.

When asked by Moses who to say was sending him,
the Lord responded "tell them I Am." Jesus used
this phrase many times, coupled with the symbols of
His deity. Those includedhere are:
I Am the Alpha and Omega (the Greek letters),
I Am the vine (grape vine),
I Am the resurrection (lillies),
I Am the light of the world
(lamp superimposed over the world),
I Am the good shepherd (Jesus caring for sheep),
I Am the way, the truth and the life
(road, written word & tree)
and finally in the center of the cross
Matt 28:18-20 is implied,
Christ is Lord of all and "I am with you always."
